The Body Shop ‘Body Yoghurt’ review

As I’ve mentioned in several posts now, I’ve been trying to keep on top of moisturising my body more but I hate having to stand in the middle of my room for ages, waiting for the moisturiser to soak I before I can finally put on my pjs without feeling sticky. I’ve heard so many good things about The Body Shop’s new moisturiser range of ‘Body Yoghurts’ and I decided to try the mango scented one out for myself to see if this could be my new go-to summer moisturiser.

Initially I was disappointed with the size of the product, as it appeared quite small in comparison to big tubs and bottles of moisturisers I’ve bought in the past for around the same price, but that was until I realised you really don’t need much. The almost gel-like moisturiser is really easy to smooth around your skin so a little goes a long way. I’ve already used my pot of ‘Body Yoghurt’ so many times and you wouldn’t be able to tell by looking at it.

I had hoped the moisturiser would sink into my skin quickly but I didn’t expect it to be that fast. Literally in around fifteen seconds, it had already sunk into my skin and there was so sticky feeling whatsoever.

With that being said, it still does the job and leaves your skin feeling moisturised and hydrated. My skin felt so smooth and also had that cool kinda feeling like what you get after applying after sun.

I adore the mango scent of this product, it is probably one of my favourites that The Body Shop stock and thankfully the scent of the moisturiser lasted on my body for a really long time. I’ve used moisturisers in the past that will smell good while you’re applying it and for maybe an hour after but then there’s no trace of it whatsoever. I woke up the morning after using the mango ‘Body Yoghurt’ for the first time and could still slightly smell it, yet it isn’t a strong and overwhelming scent either.

If the mango scent isn’t for you, The Body Shop also stock their ‘Body Yoghurts’ in other fragrances such as ‘British Rose’ and ‘Almond Milk’. I’d definitely be up for trying some more since I’m getting on so well with the mango one.

While this is a great, all-round moisturiser for summer, I especially like it for after a shower, on a morning as it feels so refreshing on your body and dries quick enough for you to put clothes on almost instantly after.

Have you tried these ‘Body Yoghurts’ yet?
