Ok, I may not be watching these things right now as in right this second (I definitely can’t multitask that well), but this is a list of my go-to films, series and YouTube vids to watch at the moment. Now that I have finished uni for the summer, I have so much more time on my hands to catch up on my new obsessions and rewatch old favourites too. I wanted to share them with you, just in case you end up finding you love one of them just as much as me.
The Kissing Booth
Admittedly, I only watched this movie because I saw someone say that Noah reminded them of Grayson Dolan (loml) but I ended up falling in love with the entire movie (as well as Noah). It was completely giving off ‘Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging ‘/ ‘Wild Child’ / ‘The Duff‘ kinda vibes and I adore those kinds of movies. I found myself bursting with happiness and crying along with the main character, Elle, at so many points. If you have Netflix, you need to watch this movie and if you don’t have Netflix, you need to get it to watch this movie (p.s I totally get that Grayson Dolan comparison; that jaw clench and that stare tho).
My faves recently made their come back on YouTube after taking a month-long break and I can’t even tell you how good it feels to have them back in my subscription box. NEVER have I sat refreshing my YouTube app waiting for videos to appear, but there I am at 10pm every Tuesday waiting for theirs. It amazes me how they manage to come up with such crazy yet hilarious concepts for videos and somehow make them not completely cringe-worthy. I’m so happy these two are back making videos again and could not recommend their channel more. (An added bonus: they’re absolutely beaut too).
The Greatest Showman
It’s been just over a week since ‘The Greatest Showman’ came out on DVD in the UK and I have probably watched it a solid ten times since then. I honestly can’t put into words how much I adore this film; I might even go as far as saying it’s my favourite film ever! I just don’t seem to get sick of it. From the music, to the storyline, to the behind the scenes special features, to the Zac Efron, I love every aspect of it. Check out my full review of The Greatest Showman here.
I only recently started watching Remi’s channel but seem to be obsessed already. My favourite videos of hers are definitely her vlogs, as I love seeing what she’s been getting up to (I’m nosey like that) but I also love watching her hacks, morning/night routines and weight loss videos on her main channel. She radiates such a positive energy and watching her always puts me in the best of moods, as well as acting as a source of motivation. I’m sure you’ll love Remi’s videos just as much as I do as she’s a pretty loveable person.
The First Time
No word of a lie, I quite literally had tears in my eyes when I discovered that one of my favourite ever films, ‘The First Time’, was on Netflix. For years I have been watching a really awful quality version of it on YouTube because it isn’t available on DVD in the UK (so very annoying). I just adore everything about this movie and the fact that Dylan O’Brien is in it is an added bonus. If you’re into teen, girly, romance films you need to see this.
Does anyone else find that ‘Friends’ is that show that you automatically put on for background noise or when there isn’t really anything else you particularly want to watch on TV? I can easily sit and binge watch the same episodes over and over for hours and still laugh at the same gags every time. And since recently creating a Netflix account, I’ve been able to binge watch a lot more frequently, it’s kinda getting out of hand. I think my favourite character has to be Joey, who is yours?
Thanks for reading, let me know what you’re watching right now!
