Urban Decay ‘De-Slick’ setting spray review

Since I first started getting in to makeup, around four years ago, one of my holy grail products has been the Urban Decay ‘De-Slick’ setting spray. Only just did it come to my attention that I’ve never actually shared my thoughts about the product with you, so since receiving a fresh bottle of the wonder-product for Christmas, what better time to do it?

Although you might think £23.50 is pretty expensive for something that is essentially glorified water, this product actually works, which is why I will happily spend that much on it time and time again. The fine mist dries quickly and doesn’t leave droplet stains on my makeup.

Having oily skin, I always find that my makeup doesn’t stay put for long, unless I spritz my face with this when finished doing my daily beauty routine. It just seems to lock my makeup into place, meaning I don’t have to worry about reapplying foundation throughout the day. Don’t get me wrong, I do still have to give myself the occasional power, but not as often as without this.

I also find this product is good for bringing your makeup look back to life and refreshing it half way through the day, which is why a travel sized version of the product also comes in handy.

I adore the new packaging and design of the product, since its revamp last year. Don’t get me wrong, there was nothing wrong with the old packaging but it now looks so much classier and more like a high-end product.

Over the years, I’ve found that the ‘De-Slick’ range from Urban Decay really suits my skin. In my current makeup routine, I use the ‘De-Slickprimer, powder and setting spray and I’ve found that this is a good combo for my oily skin. If you have oily skin and find your makeup slides off your face throughout the day, I couldn’t recommend this range, and this setting spray specifically any more.
