Why I still love Christmas (as an adult)

There’s no doubt about the fact that I fricken love Christmas. It’s by far my favourite holiday/celebration and I’m always ready for it to arrive as soon as my Birthday is over in June. I can honestly say, I still get just as excited as I did when I was a child and love the day just as much still.

Although I can’t deny that I do love receiving presents (let’s be honest, who doesn’t?) I absolutely love buying presents for other people. Despite how stressful planning presents can be, I love the whole process, especially seeing their reactions when they open them.

I also always look forward to wearing my Christmas clothes, and it’s a good job considering the amount that I own! My jumpers, leggings and hats have now managed to take up a whole drawer. I also get to dress up as an elf for the last few weekends running up to the big day which couldn’t be more up my street.

Some of my absolute favourite films are Christmas songs and therefore I always look forward to watching them every year. Is there anything better than getting cosy on the sofa with a festive film while the weather is awful outside?

As well as Christmas movies, I love settling down on an evening and catching up on my favourite vlogmas series. Without a doubt, Zoella is usually my ultimate fave to watch during December but I always find new faves every year. I love seeing what other people are getting up to during December and how they’re prepping for Christmas.

Costa always kill it with their Christmas themed drinks each year, which is another reason why I still get so excited for Christmas as an adult. Their cute festive cups are always so insta worthy and I’m obsessed with their ‘billionaires’ hot chocolate this year.

I always look forward to listening to Christmas songs every year too, which usually results in me listening to them from July onwards. For me, Christmas songs bring back so many happy memories of my childhood. I will literally listen to my Christmas playlist on repeat for the entire of December without getting sick of it.

Surely, I can’t be the only eighteen-year-old that wakes up at 4 AM on Christmas morning ready to make the most of the day?
