Two years later

This post was potentially the most difficult to write out of the 28 uploaded this month as it is the one which is most important to me and what everything else comes down to. Today I have felt so much pride and excitement as it marks two years since I created my blog.

My overwhelming pride and surprise is nothing to do with the ‘success’ of my blog. Although 300 followers and 17,000 views may seem crazy to me, I’m sure it seems like nothing to other bloggers and vloggers you are more familiar with. The reason I am so-excited-i-could-burst is merely down to the fact that I have actually managed to continue this hobby of mine for two whole years.

731 days, 17,458 views, 12,000 visitors and 150 posts later, I still have the same passion and excitement for blogging as I did at day one when hitting publish on my first post. Despite being such a cliché, creating my blog is truly one of the best decisions I have made to date. I love being part of such a positive community where seeing the success of other ‘inspirational’ bloggers like Zoella encourages me to continue. After all she started out in the same place as me.

The fact that people actually take time out of their day to sit down and read something I have wrote is still just so crazy to me and is also another factor of why I strive to continue with my blog. Spending hours planning and writing and taking photos and editing and combining it all and hitting ‘publish’ all pays off when I see that someone has actually viewed the post.

Blogging apparently still seems a strange concept to some people, it is definitely a more out-of-the-ordinary hobby to have, however I LOVE that I am doing something different; for one of the first times in my life I am not being a sheep.

I cannot wait to write a similar post in a year’s time and see how my blog has developed compared to now. Here’s to another year of blogging. As always, thank you so much for reading this post (and my Blogruary series). Make sure you’re always caught up by following my blog, my twitter and Instagram.
