2015 favourites

Way back in June I posted a “mid 2015 favourites” blog post in which I shared with you the main products I’d been obsessed with over the course of the first half of the year. I thought I’d end 2015 with a similar post, my end of 2015 favourites. These are just a selection of the things I’ve found myself coming back to time and time again during the second half of the year.

One product that I haven’t stopped using since I bought it is the Maybelline ‘The Nudes’ palette, which probably won’t come as a surprise to those of you who have read previous posts of mine. I use this palette almost every day and cannot recommend it enough. If you would like to read my full review of this incredible product, you can check it out here.

Another Maybelline product I became completely obsessed with is their ‘Fit Me’ concealer. I originally bought this to stop myself from using up my MAC concealers so quickly, and I ended up loving this one just as much. It is so creamy and easy to blend, perfect for concealing dark circles under your eyes and I believe this has now become a staple in my makeup collection. Retailing at only £5.99, this concealer rivals those from high end brands.

Previously, I have blogged about The Body Shop’s ‘Instablur’ makeup primer for oily skin and even after trying out primers from other brands I still believe that this does the best job. I will continue buying and using this incredible primer for as long as The Body Shop stock it. If you would like to read my full review of ‘Instablur’, you can read it here.

Over a year ago, I bought MAC’s ‘Harmony’ blush as a treat for myself in New York and even now I still find it is one of my favourite products in my makeup collection. I try to use it sparingly as even though it is completely worth the money, it isn’t the cheapest of makeup products. This is something I will definitely be repurchasing as soon as I run out.

One product that I was SO late on the bandwagon with is the Benefit ‘Roller Lash’ mascara. I feel like every beauty blogger and their mam had raved about this before I got round to buying it. However, as soon as I used this for the first time, I instantly fell in love and I will continue to purchase it over and over again. This mascara makes my eye lashes so curly and long with minimal effort needed. Even at almost twice the price of your typical drugstore mascara, ‘Roller Lash’ is 100% worth the price. You can also check out my ‘Roller Lash’ review here.

I’m the type of person that loves wearing nail varnish but I find it takes too long to apply and chips really quickly on me. One nail varnish that I found I don’t mind taking time applying is ‘Bahama Mama’ by Essie. This is the perfect winter shade and it has been on my nails for the majority of the winter months. Essie is a little more expensive than other drugstore brands such as Barry M, but I find it is completely worth it as it seems to last longer without chipping.

Earlier in the year, LUSH released a collection of new bath bombs and bubbles bars to add to their permanent range. If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you should know by now that LUSH is probably my favourite shop in the entire world so you can only imagine how I reacted when I saw the pictures of their new releases. Out of the products I have tried so far, the ‘intergalactic’ bath bomb has to be my favourite! My camera just didn’t do the colour of my bath water justice.

One product that I just keep finding myself going back to time and time again is the Soap and Glory ‘Butter Yourself’ body lotion, which I received for Christmas last year. This has lasted me so long and is so cheap! The most addicting this about this nourishing and creamy moisturiser is the smell; its fruity fragrance lasts on the skin for so long. Even though I always receive Soap and Glory products for Christmas which last for such a long time, I can see myself purchasing this as soon as I run out because I don’t think I can go without it.

I recently became completely infatuated with the song ‘Til The Morning’ by Bahamas, who people I know and I had never heard of. Although it is only two minutes long, this song is just incredible. It’s the song I listen to when I can’t sleep or to calm me down. Slowly becoming my most favourite song ever, I don’t think I’ll ever go a day without listening to it. Another song I have recently fallen in love with is ‘Vampire’s Kiss’ by John Gold, who I had also not heard of. I can easily listen to this song on repeat for hours. I definitely recommend giving these two songs a quick listen.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my favourite things over the second half of 2015. Make sure you’re always caught up with me by following my blog, twitter and instagram. This blog post is my own opinions only and wasn’t sponsored in any way.
