tumblr inspired décor ideas

Over the past year or so, I have gradually been adding my own little touches to my bedroom to make it more interesting and ‘me’, rather than how plain it was before. I decided I should do a blog post on some of the cute room décor ideas I have in my bedroom to inspire some of you that want to do the same.

The first thing, which I have mentioned in a few previous blog posts (link to Polagram/Lalalab app review and how to post) is my polaroid washing line. I’m not going to go into too much detail about this but if you want to read more about it, check out those two blog posts above. It was so simple and easy to make, at a low cost, and looks so cute. I absolutely adore it and I feel like it makes my room look more homely and ties it all together, rather than it just being an empty wall.

As old-fashioned as it may seem, I love having physical copies of photographs to incorporate them into my room décor and so I get to see them every day, alternatively they would be stuck on my phone of laptop where I never really look at them. I have physical copies of photographs all around my room, whether in polaroids, photo booth strips or classic photo form.

Photo booth strips are some of my most favourite things in the world, and let’s be honest, what’s the point in having them if you’re not going to show them off. Using some of the left over pegs from my polaroid washing line, I grouped together some of my photo booth strips and pegged them together, onto my desk’s notice board. This is such a cute way of displaying your photos.

Lalalab tend to be most well-known for their polaroid pictures, however they also do some more pretty amazing products. During the summer they gave customers codes which allowed them to order two free postcards, I used this opportunity to order two for myself to display also on my notice board. Lalalab also sell ‘make your own magnets’ in which you can turn your favourite pictures into magnets.

Paperchase used to be a shop I never really took any interest in, however recently I have found myself eyeing up new products every other day. My friends and I recently stumbled across their collection of postcards and I instantly fell in love with them. Unlike your usual touristy postcard, their adorable slogans brightened up my day so much. I definitely want to get more of these to add to my collection. Priced at only 70p, these postcards add a little something extra to your room.
