Recently I have become obsessed with eyeshadow palettes, I’ve been trying to branch out more with my eyeshadow and create different looks rather than what I usually go for. I came across the Makeup Revolution stand at Superdrug, a makeup brand I don’t usually buy from or even look at, and absolutely fell in love with their eyeshadow palettes; some of which most definitely rival Urban Decay’s Naked palettes.
The one palette that caught my eye the most and I fell in love with instantly was their Ultra Eyeshadow palette in ‘Flawless’. The palette of 32 beautiful shadows is so versatile and I knew by just looking at it I could get so much wear and so many different makeup looks from it.
I originally fell in love with the actual colours the palette offers, cooler toned, natural shadows; some of which are matte but the majority are shimmers. Although all of the palettes I own are neutral, none of them off some of the colours that this one does. Similar to the colours within other palettes such as Urban Decay’s Naked 2 and Too Faced’s Chocolate Bar palette, this by Makeup Revolution has more eyeshadows for a MUCH cheaper price.
After swatching several of the colours on my hand, that’s when I knew I HAD to have this little gem. Buttery, soft and pigmented as hell; all of these shadows are an absolute dream to apply. It most definitely exceeded my expectations for a drugstore brand, especially one I had never heard much about. They are so easy to blend and unlike many affordable palettes, have no fall out whatsoever!
My favourite colours have to be the bronzey/gold shimmer in the centre of the palette. They have the most amazing texture and are the most beautiful colours.
I also adore the packaging of the product, so classy and sleek with its thin black packaging, gold detailing and rose gold box that it comes in. It also has a HUGE mirror which is so handy for travelling.
So is this product worth the money? Completely! With the quality of a high end eyeshadow palette, I would gladly pay for than just £8 for it. I think this may just become my new favourite eyeshadow palette, over taking my Maybelline ‘The Nudes’ palette. It has the same quality and similar colours to much more expensive, high end palettes for only a fraction of the price.
Makeup Revolution’s Ultra Eyeshadow palettes retail in Superdrug at just £8 along with many other eyeshadow palettes that also look incredible and I would love to try. This blog post is my own opinions only and was not sponsored by Makeup Revolution in any way.
