After months of putting off buying this mascara because ‘I didn’t need to spend so much money on a mascara’ and ‘you can get mascaras just as good from drugstore brands for half of the price’, I finally gave in and purchased Benefit’s Roller Lash mascara. I’m sure you will have already heard so many mixed reviews on this product already but I thought I’d also share mine with you.
First things first, the packaging is absolutely stunning, as all benefit packaging tends to be. The pink part of the applicator feels rubbery and really helps you grip onto it a lot better than plain packaging, which tends to slip out of my hands quite easily and results in me having black dots of mascara all over my leg.
After using Roller Lash several times now, I’ve found that it doesn’t smudge on me, such as under my eyes like other mascaras tend to do. A lot of drugstore mascaras I have used in the past, tended to smudge easily under my eyes from the mascara on my bottom lashes, which made me stop wearing any mascara at all on my lower lashes. I’ve also found it doesn’t flake off throughout the day either.
The applicator it’s self is thin so you can reach all those tiny lashes, which fatter brushes make it more difficult to do, and is slightly curved. The packaging claims you don’t need to use any eyelash curlers with this mascara. When I first purchased it I thought this couldn’t be completely true but it blew me away how the mascara itself curled my lashes just as good as my eyelash curlers. This is such a bonus for me because I hate curling my eyelashes as it hurts me (that’s probably just me holding it too hard to be completely honest) I also wasn’t expecting the curl to hold all day, but it 100% did, I couldn’t be more impressed with this product.
So is this mascara worth the money? In my opinion, YES! I’ve found myself reaching for this mascara over all the other ones in my collection recently and I don’t think I could love it any more. Obviously, there will be some cheaper, drugstore dupes out there which will work just as well but if you want to treat yourself on a high end mascara, I believe this is the one for you.
Roller Lash retails at £19.50. This blog post is my own opinions only and wasn’t sponsored in any way. If this post helped you in anyway or you have any further questions, leave a comment below or tweet me (@emilyrobxrts).
