The Body Shop ‘instablur’ review

If you read my Drugstore beauty haul, you’ll be aware that I promised to post a full review of the Instablur ‘all in one five action perfector’ by The Body Shop. For so long now, I’ve wanted to purchase this after hearing so many amazing thoughts and reviews. I constantly heard Gabby (velvetgh0st) raving about this and since I trust her opinion, I thought I better try it out too.

Instablur is aimed at people with more oily skin and claims to control shine for up twelve hours, reduce the appearance of pores, hides blemishes, evens out complexions and extends the length of time makeup lasts, which is A LOT! And I couldn’t be happier to say that all of this is true. For someone who has very oily skin, finding a primer that actually works to reduce shine is amazing, however it doesn’t last as long as twelve hours on me. Despite this, instablur reduces shine for so much longer than any other primer I have tried that claims to mattify your skin.

When you apply instablur before your foundation, your face literally feels like silk and is completely matte. I also feel like my foundation goes on a lot smoother and better overall while wearing this product. It really helps to even out your skin.

Instablur retails at £14.00 from The Body Shop. I would definitely recommend this product if you’re looking for a new primer and you have oily skin, or if you like your makeup to look matte.

As always thank you so much for reading this post, if it helped you in anyway let me know either in the comments or by tweeting me (@emilyrobxrts). This post is nothing but my own opinions and isn’t sponsored in any way.
