The month of May kick started with me an English revision trip to South Shields with some of my friends. This probably sounds so so boring to you all but everyone enjoyed the day and the relaxed atmosphere, in the conference room by the seaside, made everything seem so laid back and helped us to forget our exam was just four days away. After four and a half hours of revision we were rewarded with two games of bowling (sadly I didn’t win either as I’m pretty bad at it), ate fish and chips on their pier before ending the day playing in the arcade and walking around the amusement park.
Conveniently the day before my first GCSE exam was the day that The Vamps came to Newcastle on their UK arena tour. Two of my best friends and I travelled through to Newcastle earlier in the day, to do a spot of shopping, before heading over to the arena for the long night ahead. The whole night was incredible and I wouldn’t have wanted to spend it with anyone else. If you want to hear more about the night you can check out one of my previous blog posts on it wp.me/p5P1Tj-2v
After a long night and barely any sleep when I got home followed something I had been dreading for months, my English GCSE exam and the start of two long months full of revision and exams. All I can say about it is I’m glad it’s over with and I can’t wait to find out how I’ve done on results day in August.
Over the past few weeks I have seemed to gain a strange interest in cooking/baking or just making food in general. You wouldn’t believe how pleased I was with myself when I attempted to make some chocolate cookies and they turned out amazingly well. I honestly couldn’t have been happier with myself. I’ve also regained my on/off addiction to smoothies and I can’t see the addiction going away any time soon.
One of the most exciting things that happened this month was the release of The Scorch Trials trailer, the follow up film to The Maze Runner. If you know me personally or follow me on social media you will know I’ve been so excited and hyped up about this and it most definitely lived up to my expectations. I’m now so so so excited to see the film in September and I have no idea how I’ll cope, waiting four months until it actually comes out. Check out the trailer here www.youtube.com/watch?v=-44_igsZtgU
One thing that I looked most forward to happening this month was the arrival of my prom dress and buying makeup and shoes etc for the special night. After months of anticipating it’s arrival, my prom dress final arrived in store yesterday and I will be picking it up very soon. I can’t wait to share with you all how the night went.
And finally… my blog reached 500 views! This probably seems like a really tiny number but I couldn’t be more proud of myself. My goal for 2015 was to start something and to stick at it and so far I’ve managed to maintain this blog for three months. I never thought I’d be able to stick at it or that people would enjoy reading about my life/interests/reviews. I’m honesty so grateful for every single person that clicks the link to my blog and reads my posts because this is something I love doing and the more views I get, the more encouraged I feel to keep posting. I also made a new personal twitter account for my blog so it’ll be a bit more professional and a bit less crazy fangirl tweets. Make sure you follow me on @emilyrobxrts for constant blog updates.
So that’s pretty much everything I thought was worth recording of this month, I’m hoping next month will be even more exciting as it’s finally my birthday! I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post.
