In 2012 I visited Paris with the school, which was my first time my first time leaving the UK without my family. It was such an amazing city at it s beauty in full (and apparently too young to it’s beauty in full (and apparently too young to use the camera on my phone properly).
On our first day in the city, we visited The Eiffel Tower and had the opportunity to go to the first floor (although a lift would have been handy as my legs got tired after the first flight of stairs). The view from the tower was incredible, something everyone should have the chance to experience. It would’ve been amazing to go to the top of the tower but we didn’t get the chance which means I’ll have to go back – not complaining at all.
Passing love lock bridge while on our boat ride through the city was such a beautiful site, and later being able to walk across it and put in reality just how many locks had been attached to it was even better. It’s definitely something I wish to do in the future – yet another reason to revisit the city.
Later in the trip we visited the gardens of the Palace of Versailles. Drinking the fresh orange juice while walking in the sun added to the memorable day and the memorable trip overall. Sadly we didn’t get to go inside of the palace which I’m sure would have made the trip even better.
On our final day in the city, we went to Disneyland Paris, which is something I have always wanted to do. Exploring the park was brilliant and seeing some famous characters was pretty great too, however there was no sign of Mickey or Minnie. The few rides we went on were completely worth the wait. The handful of hours we had to take a look around definitely was not enough time to explore the magical place in full. I would love to go back to spend more time there.
